PageRank is relative and is shared throughout a website by a unique voting system created by Google in it own rights. It is very important to have an efficient navigation throughout your site. But to have all the links on the top menu or left menu is almost next to impossible for many sites and that is where a SiteMap comes in to play. SiteMaps allow the crawlers to easily note down the links on your website and then index all of them. Also important is updation of the Sitemap, dont just upload and forget it but also update it whenever you site links are updated.

Whenever possible use keywords in the file names. Ex: a file that have the details on website developing prices can be saved as "website_developing_prices.htm" rather then saving it as "web.htm" or "price.htm" . Do not use the exact same title tag on every page on your website. Search engine robots might determine that all your pages are the same if all your title tags are the same. If this happens, your pages might not get indexed. It is a good practice to use your heading of that page as the title tag to help robots know exactly what the page is all about. A good place to insert the headline is within the h1 tag. So the headline is the same as the title tag text.

Describe your images with the use of the alt tag. This will help search engines that index images to find your pages and will also help readers who use text only web browsers. Alt tag also acts as an alternative for images incase the images are missing or the link to image is broken. So always keep a practice of using alt tags in your web pages where images are used.
